We are working on publishing a children’s adventure book written in Muyscubun, the native language of the Cundiboyacense region in Colombia. There are few materials in this language, and few formally published children stories. Our hope is to contribute to the revitalization of this language, which lost its native speakers due to centuries of colonization. Donations and profits from select items in the shop will be used to cover publication costs and remunerate illustrators, translation researchers, community advisors, and narration voice actors. Youth and community members from these will be involved, and we plan to publish in Colombia, United States, and Canada with publishers that support POC and Indigenous stories.
